Additionally, congratulations to Zach Reynolds (PGY-5) for taking home second place with his presentation titled “The Application of Artificial Intelligence Deep Learning Methods for Proximal Humerus Fracture Feature Identification.”

​Geoff Marston (PGY-4) recently presented a podium at Southern Orthopedic Association in Marco Island, FL titled “Large Volume Hydrodilatation for the Treatment of Shoulder Adhesive Capsulitis”.
Mel Patterson (PGY-5) and Josh Eskew (just graduated residency) are co-authors on a projected titled “Two Anchors as Effective as Three When Using a Locking Mattress Suture Technique for Arthroscopic Anterior Stabilization” that was presented as a poster at AANA, AAOS, and SCOA this year.
Zach Reynolds (PGY-5) and Sarah Pirkle (PGY-3) are co-authors on a project titled “Does Intravenous Tranexamic Acid (TXA) Administered at Time of Hospital Admission Reduce Blood Transfusion Rates in Geriatric Hip Fracture Patients?” that was presented as a poster at the Southeastern Fracture Consortium in Chapel Hill, NC this year.
Mel Patterson (PGY-5) presented a podium at ASSH in Minneapolis in September 2024 titled “Comparison of Outcomes Following Proximal Row Carpectomy with Capitate Osteochondral Autograft Transfer System Procedure versus Proximal Row Carpectomy Alone”
